[Vybz Kartel Latest] J-Rich pleased with J'can performance

Canadian Rapper J-Rich has been in Jamaica for a month promoting his single, Love and Joy, featuring Warrior King. However, last weekend marked the first the artiste got the opportunity to perform for the Jamaican people.

J-Rich was invited to perform at the University of Technology's African Liberation Day concert alongside Warrior King, held last Saturday, and despite the heavy rain, J-Rich says the experience was worthwhile.

"I could really see that people knew the song, and those who hadn't heard it before were really tuned in and wanted to know what it was about," he said.

"I had time to see so many talented artistes perform before me. Overall, Saturday's performances were a great experience," he added.

The rapper also performed at Sugar Minott's Day Celebration, hosted at YouthMan promotion alongside several of Jamaica's veterans including Bounty Killer.

Again sharing stage with Warrior King, J-Rich said he could feel Minott's presence through the energy of the engaging audience.

"The vibes was on point. it felt like Minott's energy was flowing through the place and feeding every performer that hit the stage. When Warrior and I performed, I felt a rush of love from the crowd... I really felt at home," he said.

The rapper is hoping to be featured on upcoming local events this summer.
